Winter v.2 is on the way!
Hi all, Just trying something here... A pretty dramatic air mass change is on the way for the British Isles. I hope you enjoyed a bit of warmth the last few days, temps at Foxley here reached 22.3C, the warmest March temperature I've recorded since I started my weather station in Dec 2011. For some places this is was the warmest spell of March weather since the late 1960s! A weak cold front will cool things off a bit on Thursday through Saturday, with a brief warmer day on Sunday...but the real fun comes on Sunday night through Tuesday as an Artic Maritime Airmass pushes southwards across all of Britain, plunging us back into winter-like conditions. Could be some wintry showers/snow in place, with daytime temperatures by Monday struggling to get much above 5C. Check out the charts linked. I think this should let you comment, so ask questions if you have any. CB.
